Sidhu Moose Wala Vaar Song Controversy
The Muslim community has questioned the song's reference to "Muhammad". Shortly after the controversy, it was learned that Sidhu Moose Wala's father, Balkour Singh, spoke with Shahi Imam Maulana Muhammad Usman Ludhianvi of Punjab and issued a statement on Wednesday.
Ludhianvi said that the word “Muhammad” was used in Sidhu Moosewala’s Song Vaar, and after the release of the song questions were raised. “I have also talked with Moose Wala’s father in the morning. The song does not refer to Prophet Muhammad (the last Prophet in Islam) as we have also checked the historical facts. But I repeat that these facts must be clarified in a description before the starting of the song in the future,” he added.
Balkaur Singh said that the word Muhammad was not referred to Prophet Muhammad in any way. “These words are used for then Afghan ruler Dost Mohammad Khan and his five sons, with whom Hari Singh Nalwa had fought a war. It gives reference to the battle of Jamrud fought between Nalwa and the forces of Dost Muhammad. We have immense respect for Prophet Muhammad sahib. I apologize if we have hurt anyone’s sentiments,” he added.
Real Name of Shidu Moosewala
Sidhu Moose Wala, real name Shubhdeep Singh, was born in the Sidhu Moose Wala village of Mansa, on 11 June 1993,Sidhu Moose Wala is an upper-caste Jatt-Sikh family. Sidhu Moose Wala rose to fame in a short time after arriving in Canada on a student visa in 2016. Sidhu Moose Walaa after completing his electrical engineering from Punjab, he moved to Canada on a study visa in 2016. In 2017,Sidhu Moose Wala released his first track 'So High'. He quickly gained a reputation as a controversial singer. His violent songs are said to have encouraged gun culture and that let to criminal cases against him. In 2020, the then Punjab government led by Captain Amarinder Singh had booked Sidhu Moose Wala under Arms Act for allegedly promoting gun culture in one of his songs.

Career of Sidhu Moosewala
Sidhu Moose Wala's career spanned less than five years and he has a legacy of over 100 songs, and another 100 written songs, of which 15 songs had already been recorded before his death. He also acted in some Punjabi films. He was different from other singers of his time. While most Punjabi youth emigrated or tried to emigrate abroad in search of a better life, Moose Wala returned from Canada and returned to his village.
